The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has issued a comprehensive Consultation Guidelines document, covering all the procedures, standards and methods utilised by the MGA when issuing a consultation document. These guidelines are based on five overlying principles, namely: proportionality, participation, openness and accountability, effectiveness, and coherence.

The MGA believes that the views and opinions of all its stakeholders form an integral part of its policy decisions, and therefore a formal consultation process is fundamental to the Authority’s work in order to ensure these decisions are taken in a transparent, honest and accountable manner.
